SHIPSTON-on-Stour High School hosted their first mini-masters tournament with an enthusiastic field of 38 five to nine-year-olds.

They raced through 76 matches in three hours with some hard-fought encounters.

The winner of the eight and unders competition was Joshua Hunter, who beat Samuel Littell 10-4 in the final.

Meanwhile, in the nine and unders category, Jack Boden defeated Bernardo Fernandez 7-5, 7-3.

The action-packed tournament was organised by Tennisolutions and Shipston Tennis Academy and there will be another held on Sunday, December 9, at Kineton High School.
