AFTER bad weather forced the Broadway ladies’ pairs winter league opener to be postponed, 40 turned out for round two.
This time the conditions were perfect and the 16-hole greensomes was close with Liz Smith and Veronica Rudd winning the contest with 32 points.Sue Jackson and Jude Vidler were second with 29, while Doreen Reeve and Kim Lockyear recorded 26 for third spot on countback.
The third round foursomes are next month.
