BRETFORTON slipped to their second Cotswold Hills League Premier Division defeat of the season against a strong Earlswood side.
Batting first, the Vale outfit struggled to 153 all out which was never going to be enough.
Steve Edghill and Paul Jones top-scored for the hosts with 29 runs each, while Tariq Mohammed (3- 11) and Arron Snipe (4-61) were the main wicket-takers.
In reply, Earlswood struggled to 57-4 before Craig Everett (56 not out) guided them home for the loss of six wickets off 29 overs.
Bretforton seconds also suffered defeat in Division Four, losing to Dorridge and Hockley Heath by 52 runs with the highlight being Matt Stanley’s fine bowling figures of 3-15 off 10 overs.

Wicketkeeper David Wood and Darren Haines fired the visitors to 193-7 from their 45 overs with 33 each.
Bards were restricted to 118-9 with William Archer (3- 18), Sam Cope (3-41) and Mahesh Patel (2-14) among the wickets.
- Overbury stormed to a 109-run victory at Ebrington in Division Two after dismissing the hosts for just 70.
Wicketkeeper Lewis Bridges starred with 40 in their 179-6 before G Rhodes (3-10 from five overs) was among those to do the damage with the ball. Matt Spencer scored 27.
Bidford-on-Avon did enough with the bat and then bowled FISSC out for 141 in the villagers’ 19-run win which was their third successive success.
