PERSHORE men’s firsts lost 4-1 at home to Newtown in Midlands Hockey League West Midlands Division Two.

Despite missing a number of regular players, Pershore went ahead through Karl Lawson but were unable to hold onto the lead.

Newtown soaked up the pressure and continually threatened on the counter attack, scoring four goals.
