EVESHAM United are in FA Trophy action on Saturday when they host Leek Town in the first qualifying round at the Jubilee Stadium (3pm).

The Robins, who beat Market Drayton Town in the previous round, will be looking to rip up the form book and beat a side unbeaten at the top of the Northern League Division One South.

Shaun Cunnington’s team, fifth-bottom in Southern League Division One South and West, will also be aiming to bounce back after bowing out of the Red Insure Cup with a 3-1 first-round defeat to Bishops Cleeve.

Goals from Jake Lee and Ed Williams put the visitors 2-0 ahead before Lindon Dovey pulled a goal back, only for Lee to net his second and Cleeve’s third late on.

  • Pershore Town, runnersup in last season’s Worcestershire Senior Urn, fell at the first hurdle this year with a 2-1 loss to Malvern Town.
