EVESHAM produced some excellent performances to win promotion to Division Two at the 39th annual Nuneaton and District Junior League finals.

The Vale club finished second on the day and also in the league, behind Camp Hill, who also gained promotion along with Warley Wasps.

Evesham not only achieved 12 personal best times, 11 firsts, 14 seconds and 11 third places from the 51 events but also took home four trophies for their cabinet. They won the girls’ nine-year-old medley and freestyle relay events, with the nine-yearold boys also taking the freestyle relay trophy alongside the mixed cannon.

Victories were achieved by 10-year-old Heather Castle in the girls’ 10 and under 50- metre freestyle.

Amy Cooper won the girls’ 12/u backstroke and both the boys’ and girls’ nine-year-old 4x1 freestyle relay teams also triumphed.

Further wins were recorded by Harry Ward in the nine-year-old 25m freestyle, Macey French in the girls’ 25m freestyle and the girls’ 12/u 4x1 relay team.

Reka Varvedo Beaton claimed the girls’ nine-yearold backstroke, while the girls’ 12/u 4x1L freestyle and mixed 8x1L relay teams also prevailed.

Evesham finished on 205 points, just three behind Camp Hill.
