ST DAVIDS made a mixed start to the defence of their Cotswold League Girls’ title.
They beat Blockley 3-0 with two goals from Megan Jones and one from Isobel Barnett, before losing 1-0 to CCS.
They completed their fixtures with Jones on target in a 1-1 draw with Dormer House. Elsewhere, Blockley beat Dormer House 2-0 in a tight match with Izzy Watts and Laura Willey scoring.
CCS, without three of their first choice players, beat Blockley 6-0 with Chloe Whitworth netting four.
Charlotte Thomas and Georgia Daniells also chipped in to complete the scoring.
Dormer House gave CCS a stern test, Whitworth again breaking the deadlock and making it 2-0 soon after.
Anna Wookey finally gained her reward with the final score in a 3-0 triumph.
Shipston, Ilminton and Bourton-on-the-Water will meet at CCS in the next round of girls matches.
