LITTLETON followed up a 2-0 mid-week victory at Bromsgrove Sporting with another good win, this time 4-2 at home to Atherstone Town.

On a windy afternoon, the sixth-placed hosts produced a good display against visitors who had only lost once in the Midland Combination Premier Division this season previously.

Littleton welcomed back Simon Fitter who immediately made the defence more secure.

Atherstone moved the ball around well but Littleton went ahead on 24 minutes when the pacey Kyonn Evans hooked home from 12 yards.

But the lead was shortlived as a defender slipped, leaving the way for a clever pull-back which was calmly converted by Ryan Ball.

Within five minutes, Littleton regained the lead when Fitter’s free-kick to the far post found Alex Baird whose header gave the keeper no chance.

On the stroke of halftime, Littleton increased their lead through Evans.

Littleton increased their lead on 68 minutes with a Fitter free-kick from the halfway line which caught out the keeper.

Atherstone pulled a goal back through Daniel Creaney on 78 minutes.

Stuart Hall scored the winning double at Bromsgrove for Littleton who visit Lichfield City on Saturday (3pm).
