Ashton and Bredon leading way in indoor cricket

THE Worcestershire Cricket Board Indoor League Evesham Division top four met with title favourites Ashton-under-Hill and Bredon prospering.

Bredon (136-4) beat The Boxmen (122-5) by 14 runs with batsmen on top throughout.

Clive Fenney (32 not out) and Jamie Munro (37no) starred with Tim Fenney (12) and Ali Munro (11) hitting double figures. Wides contributed 23 and Aaron Brown claimed 2-32.

Bredon conceded 24 wides and Tim Fenney took 2-32 with Josh Colwell scoring 29 and Aaron Batchelor 40no for Boxmen but the tide turned in the final six overs.

Feckenham (74 all out) lost to unbeaten Ashton (75-1) with nearly four overs left.

Will Archer (1-17) and Tom Archer (0-21) put the pressure on before Janitta DeAlwis introduced real pace. Josh Stacey (17) and Luke Jackson (20) top scored for Feckenham.

In reply, Richard Cooper (12) was the only mishap as Will Archer (25no) and Tom Archer (13no) knocked off the runs without alarm.
