Broadway cut down leaders Pinvin

BROADWAY United hit back from behind to defeat Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday Football League Division One leaders Pinvin United 3-2.

Pinvin need four points from their final two matches to clinch the title after Bellamy and Izod replied to goals from Broadway's Burtenshaw (2) and Jeffs.

Bretforton Old Boys may need maximum points from their last five matches to lift the trophy after a 5-4 victory over Pershore High Old Boys.

Richardson, Brown, Gilbert, Clarke and Witts scored for Old Boys, while Haines (2), Warren and Critcher hit back.

Davis and Smith-Daniel netted for Bear in a 3-2 defeat of Honeybourne Gate Inn.

McCrum and Gill scored for Eckington in a 2-1 win over Evesham WMC, who replied through Scott.

Defford/Besford United won 3-1 in the clash between the two relegated sides.

Tye gave hosts Mickleton Rangers the lead before second-half goals from Francome, Barton and Taylor turned the match around.

Division Two leaders Tewkesbury Town surprisingly lost 1-0 at Alderton to a Greaves goal.

Third-placed Stour Excelsior lost 3-1 to Cidermill as Bullock (2) and Smith scored but results elsewhere confirmed the Evesham side's relegation.

AC Olympia secured their status when a Reid goal defeated Tesco United 1-0.

Bredon thrashed relegated Evesham United Harriers 8-1 thanks to Diamond (4), Carroll (2), Hayward and Hill.

Division Three leaders Fairfield surrendered a two-goal lead to slump to a second successive defeat, this time 4-3 to Inkberrow.

Scrivens (2) and Haycock scored for Fairfield, while Inkberrow hit back through Steele, Sheen, Alcock and Griffiths. Elmley Castle and Anchor Harriers finished goalless.

Alcester Town set up a Bluck Cup final date with Stratford United. Dance (3) and Richardson scored in a 4-1 win at Ecosamba, who replied through Black.

Sun Inn moved clear at the top of Division Four with a 2-1 win at Fortis thanks to goals from Ed Major and Allen.

Ambassador remained third with games in hand following a 3-2 win over Stour Excelsior Reserves.

Hamed, Booth and Boulter scored with Glennie and Featherstone swooping for Stour.

Second-placed Stratford United dropped vital points in a 1-1 draw at Pebworth. Ferguson gave Stratford the lead and Jordan equalised.

Vale Wanderers hit eight without reply at Tewkesbury Town Reserves.
