EVESHAM rider Terry Fuller wore late friend Simon Andrews’ helmet in his memory as he won the second race at the Hottrax Michelin Power Cup for 1,000cc rookies.

The motorbike racer had a busy meeting at Donington Park in wet conditions but pulled out his best performance to remember Evesham’s Andrews, who died after a crash at the North West 200 in Northern Ireland in May.

Fuller set personal best lap times in every race and boasted a 10-second lead to take the second race in drier conditions.

The Vale competitor won the fourth contest in his class alongside second and third place finishes as he continued to impress despite only completing his first track day a year ago.

Fuller also competed in the pre-national category, finishing sixth and ninth as he saved the bike for his main competition, where he is closing in on the leader.

He previously secured a fourth and two fifth positions in his first visit to a MRO Powerbike Championship meeting, held by the British Motorcycle Racing Club at Donington.
