MANAGER Paul Collicutt says Evesham United cannot afford to lick their FA Cup wounds.
The Robins lost 2-1 to Bromley in the fourth qualifying round in front of 811 fans at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium on Saturday.
Before Tuesday’s 3-0 Southern League Division One South and West defeat at Mangotsfield, Collicutt admitted: “It’s difficult to get the players focused because there has been a lot of hype in the cup.
“The cup was nice while it lasted but we want to do well in the league.
“It was an entertaining game against Bromley from start to finish and a lot of people have said the players did the club and town a lot of good and they feel proud of them.
“It speaks volumes for our team when their goalkeeper picks up the man-of-the-match award.
“I can’t speak highly enough of the way the squad played and it was really nice to see a good crowd.
“It shows there are people prepared to put their hands in their pockets to watch Evesham United.”
