EVESHAM Under-16s put in an improved second-half display during a 53-12 loss to Ledbury.
The Vale side were 38-0 behind at the break after shipping six tries to large, fast and skilful opposition.
With more fire in the second period, Evesham eventually broke through the well-organised visitors with Jack Richardson scoring two tries.
Gio Capaldi added one conversion with Ledbury diving over the try line twice in reply.
There was no lack of effort and commitment from Evesham, just too many mistakes.
Nathan Cotton, Josh Hartland and Richardson all impressed, while the tireless Lewis Woodford was voted player-of-the-match.
