EVESHAM Rugby Club gained revenge on Atherstone by hammering them 56-3 in Midlands Four West (South).
The Vale rugby side moved up to second in the table behind runaway leaders Rugby Lions after just three league defeats all season.
Their second loss was 20-7 at Atherstone in October but Evesham’s forwards dominated the latest clash and the hosts’ finishing was clinical with 10 tries.
There was a penalty try along with efforts from Sam Huckvale (2), Matthew Watson, Sam Hopkins, man-of-the-match James Roberts, Ben Harrison, Zak Shotton, Henry Webb and Mike Diston.
Michael Harris added three conversions for Evesham, who visit third-placed Claverdon on Saturday.
Fifth-placed Pershore beat third-from-bottom Shipston-on-Stour 34-8 in Midlands Three West (South) and head to Southam on Saturday.
Bredon Star slipped 8-3 at Gloucester Old Boys in Gloucester Division One and host fellow strugglers Kingswood on Saturday.
