EVESHAM United put in a great display at Eynsham Park to win 4-1 against North Leigh in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West.

The visitors made a good start and took the lead on the quarter-hour mark with a strong run up the slope by Carl Brown who shot from the edge of the box into the bottom corner.

The lead was doubled midway through the half when Paul Fahy went on a superb 50-yard driving run to set up top-scorer Lance Smith to net with a rasping drive.

With the fog starting to descend Evesham started the second half tremendously, scoring twice in the first three minutes.

Loanee Garyn Preen scored his first for the club and then Lance Smith slotted home his second.

North Leigh pulled a goal back through George Seacorle in the 55th minute.

Evesham missed further chances with the fog thickening and remained in third place with back-to-back away victories in the bank ahead of the Boxing Day home match with Shortwood United.
