EVESHAM United Ladies have recently named their new management team for the 2023/24 season.

Stewart Peters is the new manager, whilst Karen Robinson and Andy Baird have been confirmed as his assistant and coach respectively.

Peters has previous experience in women's football, having coached football for eight years. He began coaching at grassroots level with Gotherington Juniors Wolves boys team, before setting up the girl's football section four years ago at the same club.

The girl's teams, all known as the ‘Jaguars’ have risen in numbers from just 10 players when they started to a current total of 140, and the teams have enjoyed great success.

He will be joined at the club by Robinson, who managed the Evesham United Colts in 2016, where they earned two promotions, which included a league title.

Robinson enjoyed plenty of success as a hockey player in her adult life before coming to football coaching. She represented England in a Masters tournament whilst also playing for Stourport Hockey Club.

And finally, joining Peters and Robinson, is new head coach Baird.

"It is very rare in any sport to get the chance to be involved with a completely new team starting up, so I feel extremely lucky to be a part this ladies team," he said.

"I will look to use my experiences at professional and semi-professional football to help mould this new group of players into a team and again I will endeavour to be the hardest working person.

"This team is a really exciting prospect for Evesham and I can’t wait to get started."

The Evesham United Ladies team will compete in the Mid-West Counties League in the 2023/24 campaign with the likes of Malvern Town Women, Bromsgrove Sporting Ladies and Redditch Borough Women.
