IN the opening game of the second week of the Worcestershire Cricket Centre Indoor League, Ashton returned to winning ways in style by batting first and posting the biggest score of this year’s competition.
They amassed 1393 thanks to Wood's 39, Cooper's 35 and Archer's 27. In reply, despite an unbeaten 38 from Mullett, Exhall were never up with the required run rate and finished on 117-5.
Harvington maintained their position as early frontrunners despite a poor fielding perfomance against Broadway in an innings littered with wides.
Wheeler’s 41 helped Broadway to 109-5 before Harvington's top three batters, Coleman, Fisher and Ayliffe, all retired at 25.
And, despite the loss of a couple of late wickets they reached their target with a ball to spare.
In the final game of the evening Badsey put in an impressive fielding perfomance restricting Great Alne to 104-5 thanks largely to Temple's unbeaten 54.
Badsey openers Smith and Nick Powell both retired and returned after a flurry of wickets with the latter finishing with 46 and Smith 40 as they won with three balls to spare.
