BREDON Bowls Club hosted a knock-event in the 2009 Wychavon Parish Games.
The bowls event was won by Bredon, with Honeybourne were second, with Eckington and Broadway tied for third place. Fourth place went to Drakes Broughton, with Wyre Piddle fifth.
Other parishes taking part were Sedgeberrow, Bretforton, Crowle, Badsey, Peopleton and Wick. Then the cross-country event took place at Pershore High School with a record 13 parishes taking part with 66 runners.
Fladbury’’s Andy Train was first, while his parish finished third overall.
Evesham South were the overall winners with 92 points, with Evesham North well back in second with 172. Bretforton came home in fourth with Crowle next.
The next event is the angling, which takes place on the River Avon at Evesham Saturday, September 19.
