Burntwood 0, Littleton 6.

LITTLETON won their seventh game in-a-row in Midland Combination Division One with an easy victory away at bottom club Burntwood.

The visitors dominated play and, but for an inspired display by the home goalkeeper and some wayward finishing, the scoreline might have been much bigger.

Littleton went on the attack immediately and were awarded a penalty on eight minutes, but Danny Edwards shot over the bar.

It took the visitors until the 38th minute before they took the lead. Dan Trotman fought his way past three tackles down the left.

His centre was met by Tom Beattie who netted from close-range.

On the stroke of half-time a through-ball from Joe Lolley put Dean Cox in and he shot past the advancing keeper.

The same combination struck again on 50 minutes and again Cox scored.

Goalmaker Lolley then turned scorer with a hat-trick.

On 65 minutes, he converted a penalty and scored from close-range on 75 minutes after Alex Baird had hit the bar. Finally, he converted a third penalty three minutes from time to wrap up the scoring.

n Littleton Reserves were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Lichfield Reserves.

Littleton took the lead in the first-half through Chris Lynes but were pegged back midway through the second period.

On Saturday, Littleton make the short trip to play Pershore in the Les James Memorial Challenge Cup second round and the reserves host Coton Green Reserves (both ko 3pm).
