Hungerford 10, Stow-on-the-Wold 31.

STOW-on-the-Wold picked up their second consecutive bonus point win in Berks/Bucks and Oxon Premier League South West Division which moved them up another two places in the table to eighth. Their performance was patchy with some great periods of play between the forwards and backs.

But there were moments in the clash where mistakes were made and chances not taken. Stow missed two early chances to scores but spilled possession over the line with Hungerford missing a penalty which would have opened their account.

The visitors took the lead when a well-taken line-out ball was driven over the line for Tim Peachey to score.

Shortly afterwards, Lee Glazebrook scored with Nick Caffero converting.

The bottom-placed home side kicked a penalty just before the break to leave Stow 12-3 up.

The second-half saw Stow take control especially in the scrum, a move in the backs linked with the forwards resulted in Craig Chapman touching down, in his first outing this season. Soon after, the bonus point score came from Cameron Davidson, which Caffero converted.

With time running out, Stow managed one last try from captain James Britain-Jones, converted by Caffero, before the home side crossed with a converted try in the last few moments.

On Saturday, Stow host Gosford All Blacks (ko 2.30pm) and hope to continue their good form.
