EVESHAM head coach Gary Diston has reported a positive reaction from his squad after he questioned the poor attitudes of some players.
The Lower Albert Road side’s boss was furious with some for going out drinking the night before games and not taking their rugby seriously enough.
But, following clear-the-air talks, things are looking better ahead of Saturday’s visit of Kings Norton in Midlands Three West (South) (2.15pm).
Diston said: “We had a positive reaction to when I laid into them — they have had a good look at themselves and the atmosphere around the squad is upbeat.
“The guys are good enough — it just depends how well they train and making sure they take that into the game on Saturday.”
Evesham pulled out of last weekend’s trip to Keresley as they did not have enough registered front-row forwards available.
Diston added: “The game will be rearranged later in the season.
We should be OK for Saturday.”
