NOT being able to name a settled team is the main reason behind Pershore Town’s slump in form, according to assistant manager Gary Aldington.
The youthful King George V Playing Fields side lost all three Athium Midland Combination Premier Division matches in January, conceding 14 goals.
They have been unable to name the same team twice in a row due to injuries and work commitments and played youngster Alex Rhodes in goal in last Saturday’s 5-0 defeat at Earlswood Town.
Sam Bastow (eye) or Jamie Lambert (work) are in the frame to return between the posts for Saturday’s home match against second-from-bottom Bartley Green (3pm).
But experienced defenders Nick Clayton and Nathan Jukes continue to miss out due to their jobs, while striker Phil Green has joined Worcester City.
Aldington said: “We haven’t put the same back four or front line out for about four games now. We just need a bit of consistency.”
