THE bare 11 players were enough for Bourton Rovers Youth as they beat Brackley Athletic 5-0 in Witney and District Youth League Under 12s ‘C’ Division.
Despite four dropping out on the morning of the game due to a bug, Rovers should have been three goals up early on as the keeper denied Toby Crammen and Jack Roberts.
Rovers finally scored when a Crammen cross was tapped home by Alex Winter on 10 minutes and the same pair combined soon after with the ball lobbed over the keeper by the latter.
Jimmy Robb, Jordan Owens and Stanley Sparling defended well before Bourton made it 3-0.
A Harry Boyce cross fell to Oscar Dodridge and he unselfishly rolled the ball for Toby Hitchman to place it into the corner of the net.
With 10 minutes left, Roberts hit the post after a solo run and Crammen tapped in the rebound.
Roberts grabbed a deserved goal late on after being put through by Robb.
