EVESHAM Cricket Club face the threat of being kicked out of the Birmingham League after failing to fulfil a second XI fixture.
The Albert Road side were due to visit Brockhampton in Birmingham League Division Two (South) on Saturday but did not have enough players.
As a result, both the club’s first and second XIs will be deducted 24 points and Brockhampton second XI awarded a 24-point victory.
Evesham have also been warned that both teams will be expelled should they fail to fulfil another fixture before the end of the campaign.
It is the latest setback in a dismal campaign for the club, whose first XI are bottom of Division Two and Saturday’s 157-run defeat to Fordhouses leaves them without a victory in nine attempts.
Nobody from the club was available for comment.
