THERE was success for Evesham Rowing Club despite an early conclusion to the Ironbridge Regatta.
Racing over the 1,000-metre course took place on Saturday but was called off on Sunday due to the rising River Severn. Will Coldicott and Jacob Organ won the J17 double scull, while the J15 coxed quad of James Mackins, Matt Newman, Alex Bartram, Alex Staite and cox Toby Edwards raced to victory against City of Bristol.
The Mixed IM2 coxed eight of Deb Staite, Tracey Stapleton, Helen Morris, Emma Attwood, Sergui Phoursa, Dan Walker, Josh Rogers, Sam Pagett and cox Colleen Penrose beat Devil’s Elbow Rowing Club from Long Eaton.
Max Pearson and Fox Furrokh added the J14 double scull, while Patrick Sullivan won the IM3 single scull.
