BOURTON Roadrunners’ club trip this year headed to Guernsey.
Those brave few taking on the marathon achieved excellent results with ladies race winner Shona Crombie Hicks smashing the threehour barrier in two hours 56 minutes, 15 seconds.
Next in came multi-marathon- man Steve Edwards with another sub 3.15 time of 3.13.20. Nigel Frith also did well to complete after a debilitating injury from mid-season in 3.48.51.
In her first marathon, Steph Holton crossed in 3.54.15. Second and third Vet 50s race were Susan Hunt 4.0.44 and Jan Short 4.01.45.
The mixed marathon team of Mike Smith, Pete Scarrott, Sarah Harper, Mick Hunt and Shirley Creed ran to glory in first. The mixed relay half duo of Dennis and Lucy Walmsley continued the winning trend, as did female relay half-team Gill Carrick and Lynn Hudson.
