EVESHAM United's Southern League Division One South and West clash with Swindon Supermarine today was abandoned after 53 minutes by the referee due to floodlight failure.
And the Robins were not best pleased as shown by the Tweets below after being 2-1 up through goals by Elliot Kennedy and Adam Mann.

Referee not given enough time - was light enough without lights anyway -should have waited longer !!!!

Comedy decision as 2 mins after abandonment all lights back on - main point is it was alright with natural light

The Evesham fans were not happy either.
@EveshamUnitedFC Plus why abandon at 4.20 when game would normally be in progress until 4.50 at least? No H&S or crowd/traffic issues...⁉

@EveshamUnitedFC natural light is still good enough to play now just before 5pm, do not understand the reason for the ref to call it off

@EveshamUnitedFC got cold for nothing but a beer and a cuppa....
— Steve (@sbanks7) February 11, 2017
@ds14 @EveshamUnitedFC ridiculous, the ref was informed that the generator was turned to manual and that the lights would be on shortly.

@EveshamUnitedFC A very strange decision, disappointing. It was a decent game up to that point as well.

@EveshamUnitedFC Absolute disgrace! Petulant and shameful decision from an already abysmal referee! Both teams were prepared to play on! 😡👎🏽
