THE Bear put their poor start to the season behind them with a 4-0 win at Stour Excelsior in Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League Division One.

A Haughty treble and an Ollie Payne effort earned the Evesham side the points.

Cidermill recorded their first league win of the season with a 4-1 victory at Bredon as Stevens (3) and Hands scored the goals.

Alcester Town and Pinvin United shared six goals. Poulson (2) and Richardson scored for Alcester, while Pinvin replied through Bellamy (2) and Ridings.

Broadway United progressed in the Worcestershire FA Sunday Junior Cup with an excellent 5-2 win over Studley Railway.

They were joined in the third round by Inkberrow and Jacksons Fairfield, who both won through in penalty shoot-outs.

Harvington, Cropthorne, Bretforton Old Boys and Badsey Recreation were all knocked out of the competition.

Tewkesbury Town hit five goals against Broadway United Reserves with Tarling, Dyson, Bloom, Keen and Robinson on target.

Alderton maintained their excellent start with a 4-2 victory over Tesco United.

Hill, J Parker, Greaves and G Parker scored for the village outfit with Tesco replying through Worthington and Evans.

Evesham United Sunday defeated Charlton Old Boys 5-3 with Louis Sones scoring twice.

The top-of-the-table clash in Division Three saw Quinton come out on top with a 3-0 win over Sun Inn as Drinkwater (2) and Land were on target.

A second-half Graham Begley goal earned Ashton 88 the points at Stratford United. Fortis drew 1-1 with Avon Titans with Rainey and Deakin on target respectively for the sides.

Bengeworth and Dragons reached round three of the Worcestershire FA Sunday Minor Cup with wins over Rock Sports and Bewdley Hawks respectively.

Pebworth lost out on penalties at Droitwich-based side Bull Inn. Evesham’s Ambi Allsports also went out with a 4-2 home defeat to Powick from the Worcester and District League.
