Bredon u11s 3, Ledbury Swifts Rovers u11s 7.

BREDON crashed to a friendly defeat against Ledbury, a side who had yet to win this season. Ledbury started brightly and opened the scoring early with Sam Branch poking home from close-range twice in the first five minutes.

The lead was soon halved with a fine Bredon goal and mid-way through the first-half Bredon equalised.

Kieran Loveridge then produced an excellent individual goal.

Kieran Slatter netted from the spot to ensure Ledbury went into the break with an advantage.

Immediately after the interval, Joseph Bullock neatly finished from long-range as Ledbury continued to put the hosts under pressure, playing some high quality football.

Ledbury spurned several further chances to increase their lead but another strike from Branch effectively ended the tie.

The visitors were still going forward at every opportunity and Bullock neatly finished to ensure a comfortable victory.

Bredon pushed hard to gain a consolation and completed the scoring with a late goal just before the final whistle in a poor defeat for the hosts.

Grendon Rangers u10s 0, Bourton Rovers u10s 3.

BOURTON made the long trip to Buckinghamshire to play bottom-of-the-table Grendon in the ‘A’ League of the Witney League.

Bourton started strongly and should have been 4-0 up within 10 minutes with Alex Everett, Alex Winter, Jimmy Robb, Jack Roberts and Ross Tyler all guilty of missing chances.

The Rovers defence of Tyler, Benny Hitchman and goalkeeper Tommy Brown were rarely troubled and eventually the visitors took the lead in the last minute of the first-half.

Everett crossed the ball into the box where Roberts controlled it and played it back to Winter, who calmly tucked the ball into the net.

Bourton doubled their lead three minutes into the second-half when Tyler and Winter combined to set up Everett, who smashed the ball into the net from 10 yards.

It was 3-0 two minutes later when Toby Hitchman found Robb and he smashed the ball home from the edge of the box. Rovers should have increased their lead on several occasions with Fraser Nicholson, Hitchman and Tyler all going close.

But after such a long trip, Bourton were just happy to come away with three points and go up to fourth place.
