PERSHORE women beat Worcester seconds 3-2 at home in Worcestershire Hockey League Division One.
After a draw at the same opponents the previous week, Pershore’s Lottie Cox opened the scoring.
Worcester levelled but Emma Gardner fired Pershore ahead from a short corner.
Although Worcester again equalised, Adams smashed home Pershore’s winner ahead of Saturday’s visit to Bromsgrove.
The men’s firsts and seconds beat Evesham 5-2 and 3-0 in friendlies respectively.
Karl Lawson, Andy Gardiner and Russell Scudamore (3) scored for the firsts.
Graham Handley (2) and Alex Brown swooped for the seconds.
West Midlands Division One starts on Saturday with Evesham hosting Barlaston and Pershore visiting Newtown.
Meanwhile, Pershore have attracted three new sponsors, got new home and away shirts, changed training nights to Mondays and employed a new coach in ex-Cannock player Martin Ebbage.
New players are welcome and more details are available at pershorehc.co.uk.
