EVESHAM collapsed spectacularly against a skilful, quick Bloxwich side in a 10-1 Warwick Printing Men’s Hockey League West Midlands Division One thrashing.
Evesham were fortunate not to concede early on as they struggled to retain possession against a strong start from the visitors.
However, Martin Husbands and Stuart Bearcroft set up the first attack, and Bearcroft put Evesham ahead, against the run of play.
But they could not settle and gave the ball away under pressure.
Keeper Dan Osborne kept Bloxwich at bay but they eventually conceded 15 minutes before the break.
With growing confidence, Bloxwich extended their lead to 3-1 by half-time.
After a good 10-minute spell in the second half, Evesham then fell apart completely.
Bloxwich scored a fourth on the break and bagged six more in the final 20 minutes for the hosts.
Fourth-from-bottom Evesham will travel to basement boys Yardley on Saturday.
