KINGTON Blades strengthened their position at the top of Evesham and District Association Specsavers Division One with a 7-3 win over rivals Littleton Aces.
Alan Cotton and Craig Norledge each won three singles matches in Aces’ first defeat of the season.
Littleton Clubs moved up to second place with a 7-3 victory over Kington Bulldogs, inspired by a John Taylor triple, and a 9-1 win against Bengeworth Purple.
Littleton Positives and Littleton Aces lost ground as they battled out a 5-5 draw.
Aces’ Mark Bilsborrow was undefeated but Positives’ Nick Mytton and Doug Payne each won two and salvaged the draw in the doubles.
Wyre Livewyres enjoyed their first win of the season, 6-4 against Littleton Cobras, who earned two points to move off the bottom.
Craig Witheford was undefeated in the singles and won the doubles for Cobras.
