PERSHORE Tennis Centre men’s ‘A’ became only the second team to beat Studley ‘A’ this season to lead South Warwickshire All Seasons League Division Two.
Julian Ramus and Dave Lambert edged the first match 6-4, 7-5 and then cruised through 6-2, 6-2.
Chris Lowe and Pete McCreanor won 6-4, 0-6, 7-5 before going down 6-1, 6-4.
Just four matches ago, Pershore were bottom with no victories but three wins and a draw have catapulted them to the top of a tight division.
The town’s tennis centre host a charity open day and the official opening of their new lights on Saturday from 12.15pm.
