A MINUTE'S silence was observed by the members of Childswickham Gun Club before the March shoot sadly to mark the passing of long-time member, friend and colleague Chris Vale.

He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered, not only at Childswickham but also by friends and acquaintances at the other shooting grounds throughout the county.

The MSS all-rounders' sporting shoot got under way in windy and squally conditions, which made some targets interesting and challenging to say the least.

Following a competitive morning's shooting over the varying and unpredictable lay-out, it was club stalwart John Arnold who mastered it most successfully, posting a commendable score of 32-40 to take high gun of the day.

Joint second with scores of 31-40 were David Galbraith and Dave Andrews followed by in third place by Dave Lindup with 30-40.

After the main shoot, the regular charity pool shoot was won by Andrews.

The next meet is a club shoot on Sunday, April 26.
