THE Jubilee Fishery Spring League first round was contested on the Jubilee and Withies pools.

The Jubilee pool produced good weights with Steve Foster winning off peg 25 with 70lb ahead of Bob Evans off 18 with 63lb 4oz.

Section victors were Martin Smith (Jubilee peg 14, 38-14), Chris Taylor (Withies peg 3, 26-0) and Steve Rogers (Withies peg 25, 23-3).

Nine-year-old Billy Pitman continued to impress with 32-0. The second round is on Sunday from 8.45am.
