VALE teenager Harry Bamforth secured a silver medal for his best result at the Midland Open Water Championships.
The Ellesmere College pupil impressed in the boys’ 15 year category with a time of 42 minutes 40.70 seconds in Bosworth, Leicestershire.
Bamforth will also swim at the British Open Water Summer Championships and the Welsh Home Nations Championships.
Pershore’s Tazmin Pugh, 15, will join him at the British Summer Championships in eight events although she qualified for 11.
Evesham’s Chloe Golding competes in the 17 to 18 year division in three backstroke races.
