PERSHORE took a team to the Netherlands international swim meet in Eindhoven for the second year running.

Their squad of 22 performed strongly against swimmers from across the world, setting 112 personal bests and 55 new county qualifying times (CQTs).

In the 25-metre short-course pool, Alexandra Barry won a 50m backstroke bronze medal in 35.15 seconds and clocked a new CQT along with Caitlin Yates, Gabriella Barry and Macey French.

Francesca Barry, Millie Thomas, Jess English, Amelia Gearey, Sophie Thomas, Charlotte Downey and Tara Smith posted numerous PBs.

Cameron Leach also set a CQT with Ollie Smith among the PBs.

In the 50m long-course pool, Simon Sweatman won the 100m backstroke gold in 1.09.21 and added silvers in the 200m backstroke (2.26.04), 50m backstroke (32.66) and 100m butterfly (1.10.02).

Naomi Marsden claimed bronzes in the 50m backstroke (34.36) and 200m backstroke (2.39.97) and silver in the 50m butterfly (32.90).

Hannah Simister recorded three CQTs and Luke Perry notched several along with Chris Vizard.

There were PBs for Helena Leach, Jamie West and Josh Sharratt.
