PROP Val Rapava Ruskin is confident Worcester Warriors will rise to the occasion at Sixways tonight to book a place in the Greene King IPA Championship play-off final.

Ruskin, who has overcome a slight back problem, has come into the side after missing out in Worcester’s narrow 27-22 victory at London Scottish in their play-off semi-final first leg last Saturday.

“Obviously the aim is to help the club get back into the Premiership but we’re not looking beyond London Scottish this weekend because they’re a big test,” he said.

“There was a bit of an edge to the first game, we were a bit overrun at times but the boys came out and came back to win.

“That’s the way the play-offs are as nothing is easy and we understand each match is going to be a struggle so we have to raise our performance.”

Formed in 2009, the Greene King IPA Championship is the second tier of professional rugby union in England. To keep up-to-date with all the latest news follow @ChampRugby on Twitter, or visit www.rfu.com/championship
