WORCESTER Warriors centre Ben Te'o looks set to start for the British and Irish Lions in the first Test against New Zealand on Saturday (8.35am).
Auckland-born Te’o impressed again as the Lions squeeze the life out of New Zealand Maori in a 32-10 warm-up triumph.
And Te'o, who joined Warriors from Leinster last summer, has been rested by head coach Warren Gatland for the Lions' clash with the Chiefs in Hamilton on Tuesday.
Former England star Jeremy Guscott believes Te'o has cemented the number 12 jersey for the hugely-awaited series opener in Auckland.
Guscott said: "His attacking play has been superb.
"He’s got decent feet and good acceleration. He’s a unit, and certainly grabs the attention of anyone’s defence.
"He (Te'o) went into contact well and there was only one time he looked like a rugby league guy, where he didn’t know whether to challenge for the ball at the breakdown."
