A Pershore baker has recreated an iconic video game character using cake.

Danielle Lyons took on her biggest challenge yet as she turned Kratos, from the God of War video game series, into cake.

Danielle set about making the stunning creation as a surprise for her partner’s birthday.

“It was certainly the most challenging cake I’ve made,” said Danielle.

“I have always struggled with the human form but I work on improving my skills all the time so have gotten better.

“It’s my first realistic human-type cake.

“I made Kratos as it is my other half’s favourite character in the game God of War.

“I wanted to surprise him and it definitely did that!

“He didn’t expect it as he knows I struggle with people.”

As well as being the first human-looking cake Danielle has created, it was also the first video game character.

But it probably won’t be the last.

“I enjoyed it so I would like to do more,” she added.

Danielle has been baking on and off for around a decade and says her passion really blossomed after the birth of her son.

Danielle has over 1,400 fans on her Facebook page, Danielle’s Cakes, where she shares her creations.

In the past she has created characters such as Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon and Dougal from The Magic Roundabout.

But it is her realistic dog cakes that often impress the most, garnering dozens of likes and comments whenever she posts.
