A NEW shop has enjoyed a busy start to life.

Relate Hereford and Worcester, a relationship counselling service, has launched a shop on Evesham’s High Street.

Profits made will be used to provide low-cost counselling and sex therapy.

After opening on Friday (June 2), shop manager Liz Scrivens and her team have been busy setting out all of the donated stock.

She said: “People have been dropping in with donations and offers of help and sales have been encouraging.

“We have had some fabulous donations, you will find designer brands with a lot of brand-new items available too.

“We’re really enjoying meeting new people and supporting such a great cause.”

Relate aims to provide accessible support aimed at helping people enjoy relationships in every part of life, from colleagues to co-parents, and married couples to best friends.

The new shop is located at 58 High Street, previously home to List Recruitment.

On what brought Relate to Evesham, a spokesperson said: “We were offered the opportunity to collaborate with our national Relate colleagues who have good experience of charity retail.

“Evesham is a lovely bustling market town and was high on our list of suitable locations.

“We were delighted to make this the first joint venture of this kind with our national retail team.”
